Channel connections, credentials & rate limits

Channel connections

Each channel connection record ties your organization to a provider resource (e.g. WhatsApp phone, Facebook page). The UI under Channels creates and updates these rows.

Credentials & secrets

Channel secrets hold tokens and private keys needed for webhooks and sending messages. They are not shown in full in the UI after save—rotate them if leaked.

Rate limits

Channel rate limit state prevents abuse and respects provider quotas when sending bursts of messages. If you hit throttling, space out broadcasts or request higher limits from the provider.

Health checks

Failed credentials often surface as delivery errors in logs or disconnected states in the dashboard—re-authenticate using the provider’s flow.
